Nike Air Foamposite One “Fighter Jet” Returns Fall 2027

The Nike Air Foamposite One “Fighter Jet” is reportedly making its long-awaited return in Fall 2027, bringing back one of the most distinctive camouflage designs in Foamposite history. First released in 2013, the military-inspired sneaker is expected to return with its signature Black, Hyper Red, Dark Grey and White color scheme.

According to early release reports, the upcoming retro will carry style code JU5867-001 and a reported retail price of $240. Nike has not yet officially confirmed the release.

A Camouflage Classic Returns

When the original “Fighter Jet” Foamposite One arrived in 2013, it offered a bold alternative to traditional basketball sneaker colorways. The molded Foamposite shell featured an all-over camouflage pattern in black, dark grey and white, giving the silhouette an unmistakable military-inspired appearance.

Hyper Red accents provide contrast throughout the design, while the translucent outsole completes the look. Additional details include a red “Danger” label near the ankle, graphics on the heel pull tabs and Penny Hardaway’s signature 1 Cent branding.

The original release also included special dog tags celebrating Hardaway, although it remains unclear whether those accessories will return with the 2027 version.

Will the “Fighter Jet” Live Up to the Hype?

The reported return gives longtime Foamposite fans an opportunity to revisit a memorable release from the early 2010s. With its camouflage shell and bright red accents, the “Fighter Jet” has a look that stands apart from more traditional retro basketball sneakers.

However, sneakerheads will have to wait for official product images and confirmation from Nike before knowing whether the 2027 edition will reproduce every detail of the original.

Sneaker Shop Talk Take: The “Fighter Jet” is the kind of Foamposite that makes a statement without needing a familiar team colorway. If Nike brings back the original look, this could be a notable release for collectors and fans of the silhouette.

Would you cop the “Fighter Jet” Foamposite for $240, or should Nike leave this classic in the vault? Let us know in the comments!
